Michael leads our EY UK Climate and Nature services team and has over 15 years of experience working in climate and nature risk, carbon reporting, adaptation planning, decarbonisation and net zero. 

He provides technical and commercial oversight on major client projects. He is the UK Technical Leader for the Climate Analytics Platform (CAP), the EY propriety climate risk and financial impact model.

Michael leads scenario analysis and financial materiality assessments on behalf of corporate and non-corporate clients. He also advises on decarbonisation strategies, which includes developing net zero plans.

Michael earned a PhD in Climate Change from Cranfield University.

How Michael is building a better working world

Michael is supporting companies understand and respond to climate risks, fostering resilience and guiding them towards sustainable decision-making. He provides technical guidance and mentoring for client projects on climate and nature, including supporting organisations to transform their business and socio-environmental impact.

Through his work on climate risk and scenario modelling, carbon reporting and transition planning, adaptation planning and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting, he is empowering companies to prioritise environmental responsibility and strengthening their response to emerging climate challenges. 

He has supported numerous major companies to transition their business models and operations towards more sustainable and equitable outcomes.
